1. Nominate individuals to various positions of leadership and service:
- Elders who provide leadership of the Body of Christ and attend to matters of membership who are also leaders and examples of godly discipleship as they provide for the proclamation of the Gospel
- Deacons who minister to the spiritual, physical and emotional needs of our congregation through faith, prayer or other means in our church
3. Guided by Titus 1:6-9 and 1 Peter t:1-4, we will prayerfully consider who might serve as spiritual leaders. Romans 12:9-18 will be used as a model for the character of the leaders and servants under consideration.
4. Pray for our church family, Pastor, Elders and Deacons using the guidelines found in Colossians 1:9-13
5. Ensure training is avilable for Deacons and Elders to equip them for their responsibilities.

Love in Action
9 Love must be sincere. Hate what is evil; cling to what is good. 10 Be devoted to one another in love. Honor one another above yourselves. 11 Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervor, serving the Lord. 12 Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer. 13 Share with the Lord’s people who are in need. Practice hospitality.14 Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse. 15 Rejoice with those who rejoice; mourn with those who mourn. 16 Live in harmony with one another. Do not be proud, but be willing to associate with people of low position.[a] Do not be conceited.
17 Do not repay anyone evil for evil. Be careful to do what is right in the eyes of everyone. 18 If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone.

To the Elders and the Flock
5 To the elders among you, I appeal as a fellow elder and a witness of Christ’s sufferings who also will share in the glory to be revealed: 2 Be shepherds of God’s flock that is under your care, watching over them—not because you must, but because you are willing, as God wants you to be; not pursuing dishonest gain, but eager to serve; 3 not lording it over those entrusted to you, but being examples to the flock. 4 And when the Chief Shepherd appears, you will receive the crown of glory that will never fade away.Colossians 1:9-13
